Travelling to Nové Hrady

Nové Hrady cannot easily be reached by public transportations, but a shuttle service, organized by the boys and girls of SuSE Prague (contact Lukáš Tinkl for scheduling), will be provided from Praha-Ruzyně airport and Prague Central Station (railroads).
(Note that in Czech, Prague is Praha.)

The official language for the meeting is English and the official currency is the Czech crown (symbol CZK). The Czech crown is convertable from any major currency at any exchange office (30 CZK is approximately 1 Euro). Czech Republic uses power plugs, standard E or C (more info).

Frankfurt Bus

There is a bus being organized to travel from Frankfurt, Germany to Nové Hrady. It leaves Frankfurt on the 21st and returns on the 26th (might change to 31st). The bus is sponsored, so that you don't have to pay anything. If you are interested in this tour bus, please indicate your interest on the registration form.

Planned bus stops are:
Koblenz (south of cologne) - Frankfurt - Nürnberg - Nove Hrady
Further stops on the way can be arranged if necessary.

Airport Transport

There will be a free shuttle to and from the airport. There are no fixed times yet, as the conference management will wait until all the registrations have been entered before creating a schedule to accommodates everyone's needs. Everyone that registers will be picked up, but you won't know the exact trip times until after the 29th of July. When registration is complete, the conference management will contact everyone arriving at the airport to let them know the exact instructions.

If you want to change arrival and departure date, this will be possible until the end of the registration (July 29th) by sending an email to kastle@greentech.cz. Do not forget to add your registration number to the email.

Air Fares

• Germanwings from Cologne/Bonn once per day, fares currently between 59 and 79 EUR per flight
• EasyJet from London Stansted several times per day, fares starting at 31 GBP per flight (if you fly early)
• Lufthansa can have quite acceptable fares if you try a little bit. Early and late flights seem to be more expensive. From Duesseldorf starting at 168 EUR, from Frankfurt at 210 EUR and London 230 EUR (including return)
• For those coming from US/Canada: Flying out Aug 30, 31, Sept 1 tend to be quite expensive because of student returning to school. Â It's better to return before or after those days. Â (Half the price in my case)
