KDE Infomails
Charles Samuels <charles@kde.org> has created a mailinglist on lwce@derkarl.org for those who are interested in attending the Linux World Expo in San Francisco, CA this summer.
Who's coming?
The KDE Booth
Information on the KDE Booth is not yet available. There will probably not be any scheduled staffing, though.
Socialising
Where developers gather, they socialise! The KDE developers present will engage in several social activities near or during LWCE. Announce yourself on the mailinglist if you want to participate.
- Charles Samuels and Rob Kaper will attend a concert of Weezer (see website for tour info) on August 10 in Concord, CA. You will have to get your own tickets ($22.50 - $27.50). Charles and Rob will be in section 207 (upper level), row EE.
- Rob Kaper is organizing a group lunch/dinner during LWCE. GNOME and Ximian developer Michael Meeks and Slashdot-founder Rob Malda have showed interest in attending if their respective shedules allow. This will probably be arranged on spot with any interested participants, but if you're interested, send some e-mail.
Travel
LWCE 2002 SF is held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, CA. It is conveniently located at the Buena Yerba park near King St. Station and several down-town Muni bus/metro and BART stops near Mission and 4th.
